How It Works

Micro-coring (Ellacor) works by removing tiny columns of excess skin, called micro-cores, to lift and tighten treated areas. The needles used are hollow and less than 0.5mm in diameter — below the threshold for scarring. They’re also precisely spaced to speed healing by maintaining your skin’s structural integrity with “bridges” of untreated tissue between the micro-cores. As the skin heals, it retracts naturally and is actually “downsized,” leaving behind firmer and more youthful facial contours, decreasing the amount of injectable hyaluronic acid needed. Scientific studies have revealed upregulation in genes making collagen and elastin. Dr. Romine and Sara Romine, DNP, FNP-C, will “prescribe” the number of micro-coring treatments for your optimal desired results.
